Membership

HLTC welcomes all tennis players, both young and old, from those who want to be involved in competitive team play to those who are happy to play more socially or as a family. Our main membership categories are Tennis (Junior/Senior), Social and Family membership. Details of the different categories are given below and the current subscriptions can be found on the relevant application forms.


Clubhouse

Membership Application

Cost of membership can be viewed on the relevant membership application forms (click here). New members are asked to complete the form and take it to the clubhouse with the required fees. All members may take advantage of the Hamilton Advantage Card which accrues loyalty points from  bar sales. Social

Members have full use of all the club’s social facilities. They may play tennis at the club on not more than two occasions per year, provided they are accompanied on court by a full or daytime tennis member. The guest fee on each occasion will be £3 and the Club Visitors Book must be filled in for each visit. Members (over 18) have full voting rights at the Club’s AGM.

Social Tennis Parent

Membership as above except that the tennis is free for the two occasions. The parent may practise on court  with their Mini Child(ren). When children are older, parents must take out a tennis membership to play with their children.

Tennis

This membership is for those aged 18 and above at 1st April of the current season. The membership fee includes the LTA affiliation fee. Members have full use of all the club’s social and tennis facilities and may bring guests to play tennis at the club on not more than two occasions per year. The guest fee on each occasion will be £3 and the Club Visitors Book must be filled in for each visit. Members may apply for Wimbledon tickets in the Club Ballot but only if they are British Tennis Members.  Members (over 18) have full voting rights at the Club’s AGM.

Tennis Daytime

All aspects of the basic tennis membership apply except, these members may only  play on available courts during weekdays between 8am and 5pm. 
Tennis Student
For current members aged 18 or over and still in full time education.

Tennis Under 18

All under 18 members (at 1st April in current season) will be provided with coaching and can also play subject to court availability.

Tennis Intermediate

By invitation only from Club Coach. These U18 players may join in with the Senior Tennis activities as long as they maintain good manners both on and off the court.

Tennis Mini

This membership is for children still at Primary School. Summer Saturday Coaching is compulsory. (Depending on ability, coaches may suggest having sessions at Ferneley or the Leisure Centre during the week instead.) They may play when courts are available on weekdays and weekends.

Families

Where both parents join as full tennis members, the cost of joining their children is the cost of coaching only.

Upgrading

If you wish to adjust your membership, for instance from Social to Tennis, Daytime to Full Tennis, Social & Tennis to Family Tennis, please consult the membership secretary. All you need to pay is the difference.

Members joining late in the year

New members joining later on in the year may pay a reduced rate. The Juniors reduced rate includes a period of coaching sessions. Please see back of membership form for reduced rates.

Coaching

Individual coaching/coaching weeks/junior winter coaching are charged separately.

Club Kit

Tennis kit must be worn. Club Polo/Sweat Shirts may be purchased with other tennis kit and items from Brent Sports (at HLTC).
