Junior Tennis

Hamilton Tennis Club has a strong and well established junior section, expertly led by coaches Brent Horobin (Head Coach), Di Burdett, (Performance Club Coach / Mini Coach) and Laura Morley (Schools / Club Coach). Our coaches are all fully  LTA qualified, licensed and CRB checked.  The Junior section, currently about 140 strong, caters for juniors aged from 5 to 17 years and aims to encourage as many youngsters as possible into the game and to equip them with the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to achieve their tennis potential.  We reach out to juniors in the community through our annual Open Weekends and  run sessions at the local Primary Schools. We also run a Schools Tournament for the primary age group.

Hamilton provides a range of coaching opportunities,  including weekly sessions and coaching camps.
Our youngsters are also encouraged to  join in a range of events throughout the year, including Fun Days, Sports Days, Quizzes, Parent and Child Tournaments and our Annual Junior Tournament. Sunday evening matchplay sessions, from 5.30-7.30pm, are supervised by our coaches and Juniors are also able to play at other times when courts are free.  Annual Junior Programme

The National Junior Club League provides  more competitive play for some of our juniors. Currently we have three boys' teams in the age groups 14,16 and 18 and two girls teams in age groups 12 and under, and 18 and under. In addition, we run two teams in the Junior Doubles league at 12 and under, and 15 and under.
